ORLANDO, Fla. — Central Florida average gas prices are hovering between $4.35 and $4.37 per gallon for regular unleaded following a sharp statewide surge. The price increase is linked to ongoing conflicts in the Middle East.
Brevard County recorded the lowest average price among the reported Central Florida counties, with regular unleaded sitting at $4.31 per gallon.
Prices in three other area counties sit slightly lower at $4.35 per gallon. Seminole County, Volusia County and Lake County all reported averages at that amount.
According to AAA Florida Fuel Data, four Central Florida counties recorded the region’s highest average price at $4.37 per gallon for regular unleaded. Those areas include Orange County, Osceola County, Polk County and Marion County.
The current statewide average in Florida is $4.24 per gallon, easing slightly after reaching a four-month high of $4.33 late last week. Despite the slight statewide decline, average prices across Central Florida counties remain consistently higher than the state average.
