Clermont woman accused of spraying swastikas on neighbor’s truck, police say

CLERMONT, Fla. — A Clermont woman is accused of painting hateful symbols on a neighbor’s truck.

Police said Yamil Lachapelle-Ortiz is seen in surveillance video, spraying swastikas on the vehicle at the victim’s home on Crescent Pines Boulevard on Tuesday.

Neighbors told investigators that Lachapelle-Ortiz has yelled racial slurs at the victim and his family many times since they moved there two years ago.

Officers said they found spray paint cans in the woman’s car.

She is due back in court next month.
