Cleveland-based taco eatery chain comes to town

Cleveland-based taco restaurant chain Barrio has opened its first Florida location in east Orlando.

It opened in a 6,500-square-foot, 235-seat space at the Waterford Lakes Town Center retail center at 749 N. Alafaya Trail.

Why this matters: New restaurants create jobs and business opportunities for local suppliers and contractors. They also help property owners lease up shopping centers and provide an amenity for existing residents and workers in the area, helping make developing areas more desirable.
