District officials said that a power outage was to blame for the school’s closure, but as of Wednesday afternoon power had been restored.

According to BPS, a power transformer near Cocoa High School failed Tuesday night and despite Florida Power and Light crews working overnight on repairs, the high school was still in the dark as of Wednesday morning.
