UPDATE: I-95 reopens in Brevard County after truck hauling oil overturns

PALM BAY, Fla. — A crash had northbound lanes of I-95 shut down in Brevard County on Wednesday morning.

7:42 a.m. update:

Troopers said northbound I-95 has reopened after an early morning crash spilled oil on the highway.

Troopers said they are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.

Original report:

The crash happened around 5 a.m. near mile marker 176 in the Palm Bay area.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers said a truck hauling oil overturned on the interstate highway with some of the oil spilling onto the road.

Troopers said the driver of the truck was hurt and taken to a hospital.

Northbound lanes of I-95 are shut down from Palm Bay Road to the exit for U.S. Route 192.

There is a dense fog advisory in the area with limited to no visibility.
