LAKE COUNTY, Fla.,None — Lake County deputies arrested a woman after investigators found a meth lab and two children in her Wiersdale home on Friday.
Deputies went to investigate the house on Lillian Lane after receiving a tip that meth was being made there. Detectives say a search warrant was acquired after evidence of a possible meth lab was found outside.
Deputies told WFTV an inactive meth lab and meth was found inside the house, along with other drugs and other paraphernalia. Two children, who are not being identified, were also inside the home. Deputies say the two children were placed in custody of the Department of Children and Families.
The only adult in the home, 29-year-old Vanessa Donovan, became aggressive and grabbed one of the deputies during the search, officials said. Donovan was arrested on charges of manufacturing and possessing meth, battery on an officer, and child abuse, among other charges.
Deputies will not say if Donovan is the mother of the two children.
