Arrest made after meth lab found in Brevard home

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — Brevard County deputies said a woman was arrested after a meth lab was discovered in a home in Port St. John on Friday.

Deputies responded to the home on the 5600 block of Beaverbrook Street after getting calls about a man and woman arguing.

When deputies arrived at the home, they met with Lila Alfano, 31, who told them the man had already left the area. While investigating, deputies smelled what they believed to be chemicals from a meth lab.

A search warrant was executed at the house shortly after, investigators said.

An active meth was discovered in the garage and roughly 2,000 grams of meth oil was found, according to officials.

Alfano was arrested and charged with trafficking meth, manufacturing meth and possession of listed chemicals.

She was booked into the Brevard County Jail.
