Disney Cruise Line announces new island destination for next summer

ORLANDO, Fla. — A new Disney Cruise Line island destination will welcome guests to the Bahamas next year.

Earlier this month, Walt Disney World announced that Lighthouse Point will start its opening season in the summer of 2024.

The cruise destination is on the island of Eleuthera and will feature Bahamian culture in its design. Local artists helped to create folklore characters and the history of the Bahamas in architecture.
