Disney Imagineer shares new details on upcoming Moana attraction

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — We’re getting more details on the Journey of Water, the upcoming Moana-themed attraction coming to EPCOT.

Disney Imagineer Zach Riddley shared an image on Instagram Tuesday that he described as “a preview of the graphic style that will be used throughout the attraction.” It is inspired by the design and visual language of the animated 2016 Disney film “Moana.”

“Our team created many original pieces that focus on the dynamic movement of water as it travels around the experience,” Riddley wrote. “Graphics like these will guide guests through the cycle of water in fun and engaging ways to tell our story of the vital link we share with water across our planet, and inspire the important role we all share in preserving this life-giving and life-sustaining precious resource.”

Journey of Water will be an outdoor attraction that immerses guests in a lush environment that will bring the global cycle of water to life. It will be located in World Nature, EPCOT’s newest neighborhood that will be dedicated to learned and supporting humanity’s relationship with the planet.
