LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — Disney is offering fans a sneak peek at the imaginative menu awaiting visitors when Monstropolis opens its doors to humans.The upcoming “Monsters, Inc.” themed land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, opening in 2027, will feature two restaurants inspired by the beloved monster universe.
Harryhausen’s will bring the iconic restaurant from “Monsters, Inc.” to life, complete with an eight-tentacled Audio-Animatronic sushi chef preparing dishes at the heart of the eatery.
Disney’s chefs are experimenting with ramen bowls that combine traditional Japanese flavors and playful monster twists, think fishcakes shaped like eyeballs and green eggs.
Down the street, Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza will take inspiration from “Monsters University,” designed as a neighborhood pizza joint where monster college students might hang out after class.
And Disney is working to bring a fictional Monstropolis favorite into the real world: Blort. The drink could become a purple frozen soda topped with what Disney calls “Scream Apple Foam.”
Disney’s culinary team has dubbed its creations “grossly fun” food, combining familiar dishes with colorful and sometimes eyeball-filled twists.
The final menus have not yet been revealed. Disney said more details will be announced ahead of Monstropolis welcoming its first human visitors in 2027.
