TAMPA, Fla. — Authorities say a Eustis man is dead after driving off a fishing pier on the Sunshine Skyway Bridge and into Tampa Bay.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the man, whose name wasn't immediately released, drove his car off the pier Wednesday afternoon. The car sank and was later located by St. Petersburg Fire Rescue divers, who found the man's body inside.
Recovery crews brought the vehicle to the surface.
Troopers were continuing to investigate the crash.
