They finally arrived back home, FSCO announced.

“It was our honor to support our brothers and sisters at the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office and serve their community in their time of need,” said Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly. “I know they will do the same for us if a hurricane devastates Flagler County.”

FSCO sent two teams of ERTs, 16 deputies total, over the past 20 days.

They said that each ERT team was on site for 10 days, assisting in line-of-duty tasks, including making arrests as well as investigating violations and suspicious persons to help stop looters from preying on victims of Hurricane Ian’s wrath.

Over 300 deputy sheriffs from around Florida were deployed to the areas hardest hit by Hurricane Ian.
