ORLANDO, Fla. — Drivers across Florida are paying more at the pump as gas prices continue to climb.
The average price for a gallon of regular gasoline in Florida surged overnight, reaching $4.29 a gallon, an increase of 10 cents from the previous day.
The price is even higher in the Orlando area, where the average is now $4.34 a gallon.
Diesel prices have also jumped, reaching an average of $6.34 a gallon statewide.
That marks the highest average diesel price ever recorded in Florida, adding another challenge for truck drivers, businesses and others who rely heavily on diesel fuel.
For motorists, the latest increase means filling up the tank is taking an even bigger bite out of household budgets.
