Florida has administered more than 4 million COVID-19 vaccine doses, records show

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Florida Department of Health reported Saturday that the state has administered more than 4 million COVID-19 vaccines in the state.

A total of 4,022,026 vaccines have been given out, including 1,353,925 people who have received both doses.

Orange County continues to administer the most vaccines in Central Florida, with 3,023 shots giving out in the last 24 hours.

State health officials reported 7,280 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, including 1,455 in Central Florida.

Orange County reported the most cases with 400.

Since the start of the pandemic, 1,863,707 COVID-19 cases have been recorded in Florida.

Health officials also reported 125 new virus-related deaths, including four people who were not Florida residents.

Of the new deaths reported, 38 people were in Central Florida.

Marion County added 13 deaths, and Osceola County added eight.

Since the start of the pandemic, 30,339 people have died in Florida from COVID-19 complications.
