SUMTER COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash involving a tractor-trailer on Sunday evening in Sumter County.
According to troopers, a 40-year-old Tampa man was traveling southbound on SR-91.
For unknown reasons, the diver lost control of the vehicle, struck a guardrail, and came to rest after colliding with several trees.
The driver was pronounced dead on the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
