STARKE, Fla. — Florida death row inmate Daniel Conahan Jr., 72, is scheduled to be executed Thursday for a murder committed 30 years ago.
If carried out, it would mark the 15th execution in Florida this year.
Conahan was convicted of murdering Richard Montgomery in Charlotte County in 1996.
Though he was tried and convicted for only one murder, investigators suspect he is responsible for at least 12 other slayings.
