Florida reports nearly 4,400 new COVID-19 cases, 82 virus-related deaths

ORLANDO, Fla. — Florida reported an additional 4,394 cases of coronavirus in the state on Wednesday.

The new cases include 1,003 in Central Florida.

The increase brings the total number of cases in the state since the pandemic began to 2,253,929.

On Wednesday, the state also reported an additional 82 virus-related deaths.

Of those, 17 were reported in Central Florida. Orange County reported the largest increase in deaths, with eight reported on Wednesday.
