HCA Healthcare Inc. plans to build a new freestanding emergency room in Orlando near the University of Central Florida.

The Nashville, Tennessee-based for-profit health system (NYSE: HCA) proposed an 11,570-square-foot emergency room on 2.05 acres at 1434 N. Alafaya Trail. The new facility would be affiliated with the health care system’s Oviedo Medical Center.
Orlando-based BluRock Commercial owns the property, where a former Chuy’s Tex-Mex restaurant on the site would be demolished.
