CENTRAL FLORIDA — Another Heat Advisory is in effect Friday as temperatures climb into the mid to upper 90s across Central Florida.
Combined with high humidity, heat index values are expected to range from 105 to 109 degrees across the region.
A strong area of high pressure remains in place and will continue fueling above-average temperatures through the weekend.
While some areas saw relief from scattered rainfall on Thursday, much drier conditions are expected on Friday.
A few isolated showers and thunderstorms could develop during the afternoon, with some locations seeing brief periods of heavy rain.
However, rainfall will be limited, and many communities are expected to remain hot and mostly dry.
The hot pattern is expected to continue into the start of next week. Rain chances are forecast to increase by Tuesday and Wednesday, bringing a better opportunity for afternoon showers and thunderstorms.
