CENTRAL fla. — It was day 100 of 90°+ heat in Orlando this year, and more heat is ahead for Thursday.
The scattered showers and storms will slowly fade away this evening, with dry conditions returning overnight. Morning lows will be in the upper 70s.
More warmth is ahead for Thursday, along with scattered storms. The best chance of activity will be in the PM, with highs in the mid-90s. Heat indices may again climb above 105°.
The persistent weather pattern continues to close out the week. Scattered showers and storms will again develop in the afternoon on Friday, with temperatures in the mid-90s.
The weekend also features scattered rain and storms, with slightly cooler temps. PM storms will develop both Saturday and Sunday, with highs in the low 90s.
The moisture remains in place into next week, with daily rain and chances of storms. Highs for next week will likely remain in the low 90s.
