Orange County Mayor Runoff

ORLANDO, Fla. — No candidate secured enough votes to win the 2026 Orange County mayoral race outright Tuesday, sending the contest to a November runoff.

Tiffany Moore Russell finished first with 53,009 votes, or 32%, while Chris Messina received 45,882 votes, or 28%, according to unofficial results.

The four-candidate race will determine who succeeds term-limited Mayor Jerry Demings.

Former U.S. Rep. Stephanie Murphy finished third with 43,555 votes, or 26%. Orange County Commissioner Mayra Uribe received 24,396 votes, or 15%.

Moore Russell, the Orange County clerk of courts, and Messina, a businessman, will advance to the Nov. 3 runoff election.

All 263 precincts had reported results, although the precinct total did not include outstanding absentee ballots.
