How to celebrate National Roller Coaster Day in Central Florida

ORLANDO, Fla. — If you want to take your National Roller Coaster to new heights, Central Florida is just the place to do it.

Wednesday is officially the day to celebrate all things roller coasters. With multiple theme parks in the area, it’s the perfect place to get your thrill on.

SeaWorld Orlando will be offering the “Coaster Capital Challenge” on Wednesday. The first 400 guests to accept the challenge will receive a lanyard that acts as a complimentary quick queue for each of its seven coasters: Kraken, Manta, Ice Breaker, Journey to Atlantis, Mako, Super Grover’s Box Car Derby and Pipeline: The Surf Coaster.

Pass members that day will also have an opportunity to participate in a behind-the-scenes tour of Mako on the day, SeaWorld said.

At Legoland, National Roller Coaster Day also marks the last days guests can experience Flying School, a roller coaster that is an original Cypress Gardens attraction.

Universal Orlando Resort and Walt Disney World have not announced any official Roller Coaster Day events, but the parks have plenty of attractions to enjoy on the special day including Space Mountain and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind throughout Disney, and Jurassic World VelociCoaster and The Incredible Hulk Coaster throughout Universal.
