Keep Lake Beautiful is asking for cleanup volunteers for area trails and parks

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. — Looking for some good Earth Day karma?

The City of Leesburg and Keep Lake Beautiful seek individuals or organizations to volunteer for community and trail cleanup for May 6.

The City of Leesburg has two locations that need help cleaning up; Berry Park, 2121 Johns Avenue, and John L. Johnson Park, 201 Mills Street.

The city and Keep Lake Beautiful Gloves will provide volunteers with all the necessary cleaning and safety equipment.

“We know that access to clean and safe parks and neighborhoods is important for our citizens,” said City Manager Al Minner. “These events are a great way for the city to help residents instill pride in their neighborhoods and encourage them to work together to keep these areas clean and welcoming.”
