Eustis fire station, engine renamed to honor legendary Lake County firefighter Amos Roach

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. — A Eustis fire station and engine were renamed after a Lake County Firefighter who dedicated his life to his community.

The Lake County Fire Department dedicated Engine 21 and Station 21 to local legend Amos Roach.

His friends and family gathered with county officials Monday to celebrate his community service.

He is credited with helping to start fire services in Eustis.

Amos died in 2015.
