MOUNT DORA, Fla. — The search is ongoing for a robber who shot and killed one co-owner of a popular Mount Dora convenience store and critically injured the other owner.

Police said a man dressed in all black was seen on security camera footage pointing a gun at Khiem “Ken” Ba Trinh, 56, outside T&N Market on North Grandview Street at 8:50 p.m. Monday.

The robber is then seen fleeing the area, and police say he has not been tracked down since.

Shortly after, police said a customer walked into the store and found Trinh and the store’s other co-owner, Minh “Tina” Nguyen, 47, each shot several times.

Investigators said Nguyen died on scene and Trinh was transported to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition.

“It’s depressing to know that you’re out there trying to help the community and someone would just come along and take your life like that,” the couple’s neighbor Mary Durant said. “It’s heart wrenching and it effects everyone, ’cause it could have been anybody.”
