Man, 14-year-old hospitalized after Lakeland drive-by shooting

LAKELAND, Fla. — A man and a 14-year-old boy were shot while standing outside a Lakeland apartment late Monday night, police said.

Officers said a dark-colored vehicle drove by and shot at a group of people standing outside the apartments on Oregon Avenue.

Police said Myron Carr, 27, and Brandon Johnson, 14, were shot.

Carr was taken to Lakeland Regional Medical Center in critical condition, and Johnson was airlifted to Tampa General Hospital in serious condition, police said.

Authorities said there are no suspects in custody.
