Raw: Press conference on Michael Friedman's arrest
Investigators said Friedman’s ex-wife had an injury on her head from being beaten, but she is recovering from the injury.
Police said there were two teenagers in the home at the time of the shootings.
Investigators have not said whether they saw what happened or whether Friedman is the father of the teenagers.
His ex-wife had filed a restraining order against Friedman in 2013.
Friedman was found in Citrus County the day after the shooting sitting in his car, which had a hose running from the exhaust into the vehicle, in an attempt to kill himself, according to police.
Friedman is scheduled to be in court again in August.
