ORANGE CITY, Fla. — A man accused of ripping a purse off a 69-year-old woman’s arm was arrested in Orange City.
The victim said she thought Brandon Compton, 28, was pointing a gun at her as he approached her at a Publix on Enterprise Road Friday afternoon.
Witnesses helped track Compton down after noticing he had tape on his license plate.
Police said the victim suffered heavy bruising on her arm.
Compton is facing robbery and battery charges, and is being held in the Volusia County Jail.
