Man killed in 3-vehicle crash in Deltona

DELTONA, Fla. — A man was killed in a crash after deputies said he lost control of his car in heavy rain.

Deputies said the crash happened just before 1 p.m. Saturday in near Howland and Chilton streets in Deltona.

Three vehicles were involved in the crash.

The driver who lost control of the car was identified as Sabbeer White, 31.

Investigators said White was traveling south on Howland Street when his car spun 180 degrees and crossed the median into the northbound lanes. Two oncoming vehicles struck White’s car.

The other drivers suffered minor injuries.

Deputies said traffic on Howland Boulevard was shut down for several hours after the crash.

Investigators said weather conditions and speed appeared to be contributing factors to White losing control of his car.

They also said he was not wearing a seat belt.
