FDOT to distribute free meals to truck drivers in Marion County

MARION COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Department of Transportation said it is distributing free meals to truck drivers to recognize their work during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Officials said free lunches will be provided to truck drivers Thursday in Marion County.

Truck drivers can pick up their lunches at the southbound I-75 rest area near Ocala at mile marker 346, which is 3 miles south of State Road 200, FDOT said.

The event is being sponsored by the Florida Trucking Association, Chick-fil-A, Publix and Walmart Transportation.
