BRADENTON, Fla. — A Bradenton woman is accused of aggravated manslaughter in the death of her 4-year-old son.
Dianna Marr, 32, and her boyfriend, Trevor Cardarelle, 25, face charges in the death of Alexander Marr, authorities said.
The boy was found dead in a bedroom of his home on April 12. His mother was arrested Thursday.
The Manatee County Sheriff's Office said Cardarelle was arrested April 12 on a probation violation charge after authorities learned there was a loaded gun inside the apartment. He's also charged with capital sexual battery of another child.
Both are being held without bail.
Investigators said the child suffered a fractured skull and lacerated liver.
Neither the Department of Children and Families nor the sheriff's office reported prior involvement at the home.
