ORLANDO, Fla. — As Central Florida gets closer to Primary Day, more than 1 million Floridians have already cast their ballots.
State election officials say more than 814,000 vote-by-mail ballots have been returned, while another 248,000 people have voted early at polling locations across the state.
One early voter said the process was organized and easy, with no crowds or long lines at the polling location.
Nearly 13.5 million Floridians are eligible to vote in next Tuesday’s primary.
With Primary Day approaching, election officials are encouraging voters to make a plan to cast their ballots if they have not already done so.
