FLORIDA — A non-native reptile is killing Florida wildlife, and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission said it will start hunting to get them under control.
Wildlife officials said Nile monitor lizards are popping up in Palm Beach County, and they can grow to the size of an alligator.
FWC officials said they will begin hunting them four to six times a month.
