Ocoee-Apopka football game postponed due to possible COVID-19 cases

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A scheduled football game between Ocoee and Apopka High Schools has been postponed because of possible COVID-19 infections.

According to a statement from Orange County Public Schools, the decision to postpone Friday’s game “was made out of an abundance of caution due to COVID-19 cases and quarantines associated with the Ocoee team.”

This district said it had notified individuals and parents of students who had been in close contact with confirmed cases.

The district would not say when the game would be rescheduled.
