The first crime survey was administered in 2021 and led to more than $14 million in grants to local nonprofit agencies that provide “critically needed” services.

The results of the 2023 survey are meant to help guide the task force as they continue working to develop solutions to the community’s public safety needs. It’ll also provide an opportunity to revisit the recommendations made in 2021 and modify them if needed.

The next meeting of the Citizens Safety Task Force is scheduled for April 18 at 10 a.m. at the Barnett Park Recreation Center’s Orlando magic Gymnasium.
