LONGWOOD, Fla. — Two people were taken to a hospital after a three-vehicle crash in Longwood on Tuesday morning, according to the Seminole County Fire Department.
Crews responded around 10:23 a.m. alongside the Longwood Fire Department to the crash on State Road 434 near Tollgate Trail.
Fire officials said a 40-gallon gasoline tank in the bed of a work pickup truck was damaged during the crash, creating a fuel hazard at the scene.
Two people suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a local hospital. Three other people involved in the crash declined medical treatment and transportation.
Westbound SR 434 was temporarily closed at Tollgate Trail while crews treated patients, mitigated the fuel spill, and cleared the roadway.
The cause of the crash has not been released.
