2 women arrested following hit-and-run crash that killed woman on motorcycle in Orange County

ORLANDO, Fla. — Two women were arrested Friday on charges related to a hit-and-run crash that left a female motorcyclist dead.

The Florida Highway Patrol said Kimberly Guzman Lijeron, 22, was arrested and charged with first-degree felony leaving the scene of a fatal crash. Troopers said she will be booked into Orange County Jail once she is medically cleared.

Trooper said Lijeron’s friend, Jaqueline Solano, 22, is facing felony charges of accessory after the fact and tampering with evidence. Investigators said Solano picked Guzman Lijeron up and took her away from the crash scene.

Troopers said the crash happened at around 4:30 a.m. near Lake Pickett Road and Percival Road.

The driver of a sedan traveled into the opposite lane and crashed into another vehicle head on, according to troopers.

Soon after that, a motorcycle crashed into the other vehicle.

Officials said the woman on the motorcycle died after she was taken to a hospital.

Everyone else who remained on scene following the crash had minor injuries.
