6 hurt, including 4 children in crash involving day care van near Avalon Park, firefighters say

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Firefighters in Orange County said six people, including four children, were hurt after a crash involving a day care van on Friday.

Officials said the crash happened at around 3:16 p.m. near the intersection of Avalon Park East Boulevard and South Alafaya Trail.

Officials have not confirmed the ages of those who were hurt but said two are adults and four are pediatric patients.

Three of the patients were transported with basic life support and three were transported with advanced life support.

The crash site is not far from Avalon Middle School and Pinecrest Academy Avalon K-5 elementary school.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers said four vehicles were involved in the crash and none of the occupants inside of the day care van were transported.
