MAITLAND, Fla. — A new clinic opened in Orange County this week to help vaccinate young children.
State Sen. Randolph Bracy helped open the clinic at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Orlando in Maitland.
The move to open the site comes after Florida did not pre-order vaccines for kids ages 5 and younger.
Bracy said the decision to vaccinate kids should be up to parents and not the government.
“We don’t know if there’s gonna be a large demand for this, but we just wanted to offer the option,” Bracy said.
The clinic opened for the first time at 10:30 Friday morning.
Bracy said it will open every Friday for the foreseeable future if there is enough demand.
