Crews rescue man after car crashes into retention pond in Winter Garden

WINTER GARDEN, Fla. — Teams had to pull a car out of a Winter Garden retention pond overnight.

The car went into the water along Tilden Road off the 429, on Monday at around 11 p.m.

It was so dark in the area that crews had trouble finding the car in the water.

Search crews said there was one man in the car, and he was not hurt.

There is no word on how he ended up in the pond in the first place.
