Deputies investigating death of 93-year-old Orange County Woman

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — The Orange County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the death of a 93-year-old woman.

Deputies responded to a man-down call at St. Joseph Courts at 1515 N. Alafaya Trail on Monday at 6:05 p.m.

According to deputies, the victim, 93-year-old Dolores Padlla-Marero, was pronounced dead by Orange County Fire Rescue.

During the investigation, detectives determined this to be a homicide and have arrested Javier Rosado Martinez.

Martinez has been charged with first-degree murder.

The victim and suspect were known to each other, deputies said.

Deputies have not released any other information at this time.
