Disney partners with Toys for Tots for gift giveaway at Typhoon Lagoon

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Hundreds of Central Florida children in need now have a gift to unwrap this holiday season.

There has been a big push to support Toys for Tots this year.

Some local families were able to pick up toys at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park Saturday.

Cast members and theme park guests donated the gifts.

Channel 9 spoke to one mother who received toys for her three children.

She had a message for everyone who made this possible.

“I want to say thank you guys very much,” said Sherina Barrett. “We really truly appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts from us families that are struggling during this time.”

Disney has partnered with the Marine Corps Reserve for its Toys for Tots program for 75 years.
