2 dogs rescued from house fire south of downtown Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando firefighters are battling a house fire south of downtown Orlando on Wednesday afternoon.

The fire was reported before 3 p.m. at a home on East Miller Avenue, just east of South Orange Avenue.

Firefighters said three dogs are safe following the fire. Two of them were rescued by crews and one suffered smoke inhalation but is expected to be OK. No other injuries were reported.

Firefighters said the fire extended into the attic.

Video from the scene shows heavy smoke coming from a home.
