ORLANDO, Fla. — HCA Florida Healthcare commemorated the construction of its new emergency room just north of Orlando International Airport on Thursday.
The nearly 11-thousand-square-foot ER will include state-of-the-art lab equipment and 11 exam rooms.
“We are pleased to be part of HCA Florida Healthcare’s continued expansion in communities and the Orlando Metro area”, said David Shimp, Chief Executive Officer of HCA Florida Osceola Hospital. “HCA Florida Airport North Emergency will be able to offer high-quality, expeditious emergency care around the clock by board certified physicians close to families’ homes, work and travel.”
The facility will also offer CT scans, digital X-rays, ultrasound, on-site laboratory services and will be capable of caring for all ages, including children.
Officials said the facility will employ approximately 40 full-time healthcare professionals.
The 24-hour emergency room is expected to open later this summer.
