ORLANDO, Fla. — Five years have passed since Hurricane Maria ravaged the Caribbean island of Puerto Rico, but the storm’s lasting effects are still felt to this day.
Channel 9 flew a crew to the island to check on where the recovery stands.
Eyewitness News This Morning’s Kirstin Delgado found communities still suffering financially, physically and psychologically from the natural disaster.
Hear their stories and our search for answers during our special “Hurricane Maria: Power and Perseverance” at 8 p.m. Friday on WFTV Channel 9.
