Drivers discovered some big changes Monday on the SR 417/SR 408 Interchange.
Drivers heading north on SR 417 will find the new ramp onto westbound SR 408 a half-mile sooner than the previous one.
“Don’t look at your GPS, because that mapping probably won’t be up to date yet,” said Central Florida Expressway spokesperson Kathy Putnam. “Follow the overhead signs (and) make sure you are paying attention to where you are going.”
There are road signs in place to help drivers navigate through the changes.
Driver Megan Hardin said the change actually helped her make it to work early Monday.
“It was an easy ride,” Hardin said. “I got to work way early. Usually it takes longer than what it did today.”
If you miss the new ramp, you need to get off at the next exit, which is Colonial Drive, and go east to go west.
