ORLANDO, Fla. — A man crashed a van into an apartment Tuesday afternoon after he was shot in the back, according to police.
The victim attempted to flee from the suspect when he was shot, and crashed into a building at Bella Vita Apartments on Cason Cove Drive near Conroy and Vineland roads, police said.
His injuries to not appear to be life-threatening.
Police are asking people to avoid the area.

The suspect exited a vehicle and shot the victim before fleeing the scene in the same vehicle, smashing a gate on the way out, according to police.

The suspect’s vehicle is described as a white car, possibly a Chevrolet, with chrome rims.
