ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — After 15 years, a cold case has been solved, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said in a release Thursday.
Police said Felix Paguada-Lopez was shot and killed in a home invasion at Lake Atriums Circle, near South John Young Parkway, on Jan. 10, 2007.
OCSO’s Homicide Cold Case Unit detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Cameron Denard in connection with the murder and used fingerprint technology to support the case.
Denard was arrested for a robbery 16 days after Felix was killed in 2007.
Investigators said the gun that was used to kill Felix was found in Denard’s home when he was arrested.
Denard has been serving his 20-year prison sentence for that robbery.
