Orlando man dies after being hit by 7 cars while walking across I-4

HILLBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — A 48-year-old Orlando man died Tuesday after troopers said he was struck by at least seven cars while walking across the lanes of Interstate 4 in Hillsborough County.

Troopers said the man walked northbound across the eastbound lanes of the interstate for an unknown reason early Tuesday morning.

None of the drivers involved in the crash were injured.

Investigators said the crash closed the eastbound lanes of I-4 near mile marker 19 until 12:40 p.m.
