Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, wife test positive for COVID-19

ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer said Friday that he and his wife have tested positive for COVID-19.

Dyer revealed the news on social media.

“Today, after being made aware that I had been exposed to COVID-19, Susie and I both tested positive,” he said.

Dyer said he and his wife are both asymptomatic, which he credited to being vaccinated and boosted.

The mayor said he will follow CDC guidelines and plans to isolate and work on city business remotely.
